These are actually a little better than I thought. I think the only issue that I have with the silicone utensils is when I use them with a colored sauce. I made chili beans and I think the spoon had almost a brown look to it, even after soaking in hot water. Maybe it was just me, but when I use it with a red or brown sauce it seems to tint the spoon a bit. I tried a soak in bleach water to see if that would help. I believe it did, I will no longer use these when mixing sauces. Overall the utensils are really duarable and feel like they will last a good long while. You do not have to worry about the silicone melting. These utensils can stand up to pretty high heat. I received this item at a great discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
