Pure Silk Review

I don't know what it is about my skin, but it's picky. I've tried all kinds of shaving gels and creams and most don't work well. Some actually give me red bumps and make my legs unpleasantly itchy.

Thanks to Influenster I was giben a chance to try #puresilk which was included in my Vow Vox Box. To my surprise Pure Silk worked REALLY well for me. I get much better results when I use this shaving cream than other more fancy brands. I've got no idea why this is, as Pure Silk doesn't seem significantly different from other brands. But I'm not going to argue with my body about this, if my skin likes Pure Silk that's what I'm going to get!
I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Tide to Go pen Review

In my Influenster Vow Vox Box I recieved the #tidetogo pen. This is my first time trying the pen, even though it has been out for awhile I never really got the chance to try it until now. This pen is aswesome, works on all kinds of kid stains and is small enough to carry in my purse. I like the fact that it is able to remove stains quickly without causing any damage to the fabric. Before using try it in a area that isnt in view just to test to see if the pen is safe for the type of fabric that you will be using it on. Overall this is the best thing that I have ever used that was portable. #contest Ireceived this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Influenster Vow Vox Box Review

A few weeks ago I received my Influenster Vow Vox Box. And I gotta say I was really excited to receive this in the mail. Here are the items that came inside my Influenster Vow Vox Box:

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure-Barracuda: $7.99
Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream: $30.99
Riley & Grey
Pure Silk Moisturizing Shave Cream: $1.49-$2.19
EcoTools Pure Complexion Sponge: $5.99
Tide to Go: 3 ct for $7.99

The Sally Hansen polish I have worn for about a week now, there are 0 chips and I was a bit surprised. Normally when I polish my nails I wake up with chips the next day. The formula is really good and stay on for a really long time. I almost don't want to take it off. I applied 3 coats and added a glitter topper, no topcoat is needed if you are using the polish alone, I added a topcoat after I applied the glitter top to seal everything in.

The Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone perfecting Cream really keeps my skin moisturized. I have been using the cream everyday after I wash my face. Slowly but surely I do see my fade spots fading away. I will continue to use the cream so that I can come back and update my blog.

I'm still trying out the other items that I have received in my Vox Box and will be coming back to provide an update later.

LumenX Bike Light Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Over the past few weeks I was given a chance to try the Lumen X Bike Light. And let me begin, this light is perfect, now before we had a chance to try it on our bike we had experienced a power outage and used the bike light temporarily until power was restored. The light is super bright and allows you to magnify the beam for a farther range. And this is the brightest LED light that we now own. The LumenX operates on 3 AAA batteries,  we used Duracell batteries to get better results. The light also came with an extra feature an rear emergency light. The light is very durable and seems to be a bit water resistant. When mounted to the front of your bike, you can clearly see the path you are going to take because the led is so bright when magnified. When the beam is wide you are able to see you surroundings and can be easily seen when riding your bike at night. The light comes with an adjustable clip and can mount on any bar width that your bike may have. The rubber keeps you light in place while riding. This is the best feature on my bike. The light also offers a strobe option while I prefer to use when riding at night just to preserve on battery. I like to take nice long bike rides. I have been using this product for a few weeks and already get compliments on how great of a product it is. I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Dead Sea Salt Soap Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
I’m very impressed with this soap and will continue to use it. Adovia made a great product and I look forward to my daily showers so I can use this soap! The Adovia Dead Sea Salt soap has done all it promised to do, all while leaving a pleasant and clean scent on my skin. My skin is left feeling soft and no worries about it leaving a film on my skin. This infused soap is one I’m glad I had a chance to use. The fact that the soap has a beautiful scent is just fantastic. Im glad that I have had a chance to try a few of the products from the Adovia line and can't wait to try more from the Dead Sea Salt line. I find that the price, when compared with similar products, is really reasonable! A lot of these infused soaps cost almost twice what Adovia is selling their product for. This soap absolutely knocks the other soaps right out of the park!

PREMIUM (2 Pack) 6 Foot Extension Cables Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Recently I was given a chance to try out the Premium 6 Foot Extension cables. Funny thing, because I had been in the stores looking for something just like this so that I could move my microwave to a different area in my kitchen and this worked perfectly for that. Normally the plugs that you find are the 3 prong, but the female end did not accept 3 prong. The length and the durability of the cords suit my needs just fine. These aren't ones that seem like they will stop working in a month or that the plug will bend. These work for items that are 3 prong, most major electronics have the 3 prong male. The plug has an easy grip end that I love because it just feels so sturdy when plugging in and out of the wall. With the warranty they offer I think it is definitely a superior product. Not many cables I buy have any sort of guarantee. So having a quality product like this with a guarantee are 2 good features for me to want to buy them for all my extension needs. I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Dead Sea Salt Deep Hair Conditioner Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
I have tried this shampoo for a few weeks. I wash my hair about 1-2 times a week and have used this each time I shampoo my hair. The first thing I noticed about the conditioner was that is has an awesome scent! I like sweet smelling products but I also LOVE clean and fresh scents - and this smelled like clean linen and fresh air - and it doesn't leave your hair after a few minutes like other conditioners - I can smell it when I towel dry my hair and I can smell it even after my hair is dry. It is a very silky soft white conditioner and you don't need much at all. Just apply it to your hair and slide your fingers through it, let it sit a few minutes and rinse! Works the same way any other conditioner does but with much better results. The Dead Sea is known for its therapeutic and detox properties. People have traveled to its shores to soak in the salty waters and apply the mud to their face, body, and hair. "Dead Sea Salt contains more than 21 skin and hair rebuilding minerals such as magnesium, calcium, sulfur, bromide, iodine, sodium, zinc and potassium. (Adovia) These minerals are known to treat, detoxify, and cleanse. Hair loss can be prevented and treated through the use massaging Dead Sea salts into the scalp. Women's Triad Orthotic Insole

I was really hoping to like these. I love the way my heel feels. But -- I wear a size 10 shoe, and the ball of my foot is all the way off the end of the product. The cushion for the ball sits under my arch, so that's useless and annoying. I wouldn't recommend this product if you wear over, perhaps, a size 6 shoe. It's too bad they list this as "fits all"; that's not true. They're far too short. I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing and review purposes.

Sky2 - Detritus Machine Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
I was greatly surprised and happily enjoyed the back story of Nick and Anna. Definitely a great read.  Nick's job is to investigate recent government policies that are more brutal than any the world has seen. Then, people start showing up. People who don't belong there. Men who wish only to perpetrate violence on the repressed population. A woman searches for a life without killing while the city aches for release, shuddering with anticipation of open rebellion. I was blown away by Anna in the first book and loved getting to know her more in Sky2.  She is my favorite character,  you just never know what to expect from her. Nick doesn't seem to know whether he's terrified of her or enamored with her. The thing with this series, it's hard to decide whose side you're on. Every character has good and bad points and reasons to believe in their cause. Bill has somehow crafted a love at first sight that I can believe in because everything is not magically okay the second they meet. Their attraction does not overshadow the massive number of people dying. It also cannot be consummated because Nick already has a girlfriend back home. They are complicated and messed up and all the more real for it!
